Eastlake Village was developed by the nonprofit Housing Works, the housing authority for Central Oregon’s Deschutes, Crook and Jefferson Counties. Financed using Low Income Housing Tax Credits, this workforce and family-oriented development is located in Bend, Oregon. Bend is one of the state’s fastest growing cities, and as such, has an increasingly expensive and inaccessible housing market.
Designed and constructed in two phases, the project’s first phase created 64 units of 2 and 3 bedroom units. In the second phase, an additional 40 apartments, including some 1 bedroom units, were added to the mix. Half the units serve households earning less than 60% median family income, while the other half are set aside for households earning less than 50% MFI. In addition, Phase 2 has been certified as a Platinum-rated Earth Advantage project.
